VEGAS!! - THE BELLAGIO HOTEL

Location: Las Vegas, Nevada
Travel Dates: June 2009
Length of Stay: 4 nights
My rating: ****

We decided to finally explore Las Vegas!! It was our first trip to sin city and we were super excited.  So much to see, to do and experience.  We flew direct(only way to fly) through USAirways and stayed our usual 4 nights which is what works for us but that is certainly not enough time to experience everything Vegas has to offer.  The one thing I found there is that there is something for EVERYONE! You always find people with certain perceptions of what it will be like there.  In reality, you can pretty much find whatever you are into within your budget and its there.  For me it was the sun, pools, weather, malls, shops, restaurants, and entertainment.  We had the best time!

We stayed at the Bellagio hotel and did not regret it.  Immediately you see that its one of the top attractions and one of the most breath taking hotels on the strip!

Rooms: We booked a Lakeview room so that we could take in the view of the famous dancing fountains of the Bellagio.  The hype of these fountains is all true, they are amazing!  There are a few different routines to different songs which they play over sounds speakers outside or through a TV channel from the room.  Overall, the room was very clean and spacious.  Large TV, but not too many channel options.  Who needs them in Vegas?  We felt like our room had the perfect view.  There are a lot of luxurious commodities if you're willing to dish out the money.  The only thing we thought was absurd was the charge of $15/day to use the internet!! Personally, I didn't see the point of this.  We've gotten internet at basically every single hotel we've stayed in, especially nowadays.

Restaurants:  Vegas is also know for its great restaurants at all the different hotels. There are certainly lots of options!  From our experience, restaurants at the Bellagio are top notch.  We made reservations at Prime & Cirque. We also ate at the buffet a couple of times.  The buffet at the Bellagio is one of the top buffets in the strip.  We loved it!

Activities:  Before flying there I looked at practically everything there was to do.  Since we weren't going for long, I wanted to make sure we could take in what we could with still having time to ourselves.  We went to see "O" by Cirque du Soleil, AMAZING!  It's quite pricey but its so worth it.  We also took in the Criss Angel show and it was not what I expected at all.  I at least wanted a half decent show.  We of course hit the blackjack tables and slots.  I felt the casino there was quite large as they would usually be in Vegas.  There were a few other things I wish I had done like going to see the Grand Canyon.

Well, that's my take on the Bellagio and Vegas.  Hopefully we get to go back soon! I'm looking to maybe stay at the Wynn or Venetian? or maybe at that new complex they built next to Bellagio.. hmmmmm. As usual here are a few pics..
